    BBC more or less confirms.
    Song out, Sahin in.
Not really a like for like replacement though.
Would still like a striker and a DM.

Some seem to think that Sahin is just a temporary replacement for Jack (as it probably will be a loan). I'd expect a proper DM to come in for Song.

Don't rate him per se but Bosingwa on a free mightn't have been the worst back up RB to have either.

Bosingwa on a free as backup would be nice.

Has anyone any knowledge of Cheikh M’Bengue whom Arseblog mentioned we might be in for?

    He's a LB.

I cant see qpr letting him go for free they only signed him like 5 mins ago

Arsene said this on Arsenal player "If Song goes, we'll sign someone in the defensive midfield area, certainly."

So Sahin definately can't be a replacement imo.

    I know sweet feck all about him myself but I did read this the other day;

    http://www.footybunker.com/tough-tackling-left-back-wait-see-move-liverpool-newcastle-united/4385
There is a dark side to his game however and the Frenchman has been suspended twice by the French Football Federation for hard, tough tackles that put two players out of the game, at the time M’Bengue was only yellow carded for his actions however after more anlysis from the FFF he was suspended for 13 matches in the 2007/2008 season and again from March to June in the 2008/2009 campaign.

I'd be surprised to see Wenger sign him based on that :D (Also, doubt he'll sign a LB when he has Santos and Gibbs there already.)

On a serious note in terms of signings; I think we need 3 players before the window ends excluding Sahin [who I'd welcome but he's not a priority imo]. Someone to replace Song, a versatile RB and a striker/winger of some description.

Being greedy; Mbiwa, M'Vila and Mirallas would do.

In reality we'll sign max 2 more players.

Its hard to know what to feel about this summer. The last couple of days have soured the early optimism for sure.

Sounds like he's an unforgiving hard man this french man. I really don't think Santos will play LB unless completely necessary this season.

    On this...

I thought like this, until someone had pointed out to me, if it had happened in the reverse, I'd be quite happy.

    RVP goes out

In the aftermath, we sign Santi, Giroud, Podolski with 3 weeks to prepare them for the first game AND room in the window if we need it...

Anything less than the mid twenties for Song is a nightmare.

Though if Arsene really wants rid of him like people say then the fee could be a lot less

I don't understand how people think Song won't get a game at Barca, Keita made 45 appearances last season and Song would seem a straight forward replacement for him.

nicked from Leiva on the Liverpool super-thread

@DuncanCastles: Nuri Sahin has informed #RMCF that his preference for a season loan to the Premier League would be Arsenal. #AFC

    Great news !!!!

True, but the fact that this still matters at such a late stage convinces me he'll be with Arsenal this season. AW actually mentioning him in a press conference means a deal must be pretty close too.

Looks like Bendtner might be off soon too -

By Nick Lander---Danish striker Nicklas Bendtner may finally be nearing a move away from Arsenal. Italian Serie A side AC Milan have been understood to have an interest in the 24-year-old since Zlatan Ibrahimovic left for PSG, but Milan now appear to be firming up their interest and want talks with Bendtner's agent, before lodging a concrete bid with the Gunners. As reported by the N5 Blog earlier in the week, ...

He'd do well up top for them on his own a good target for cassano and robinho and either wing to hit

I'm on a 7.30 bus and I'm only coming from Sheffield. Maximum pre-game drinking time.

Got club level tickets for the first time. Not sure how I feel about that. Are the prawn sandwiches complimentary?!
