At a push id put Nani up there as worldclass, but I dont think Valencia is, he is too one-dimensional to be world class. Kagawa isnt there yet either, btw just because im not calling them world class doesnt mean I dont rate the players. I feel Kagawa will be a huge success at Man Utd for example. Anyway world class is bandied about too much these days and everyone has a differing opinion on what world class means.

    fair enough re valencia,

kags is one of the top younger players around atm though (thought that before i even heard about his move)

look , united have got more world class players than arsenal atm wherever you draw the line, i was just pointing out that we have a few not going to jame gumb levels if judging it though.

I would look at both squads and see hardly any world class players

once again, depends on the line but united have a head start in having your best player from last season on their books

Agree although United have more than us now... Before yesterday I'd have put RVP as our only real world class player, although Sagna is up there in terms of his position to be fair to him.

United now have RVP, Rooney and Ferdinand (although he's getting on) as their genuine world class players.

Will giroud or podolski play up top tomorrow
Giroud played 90 for France midweek

Hard to know isn't it. I say Giroud will play for some part of the game up top but I doubt the whole game.

I'm dying to see how Giroud, Podolski and Carzola will link up.

I reckon they'll both start now RVP is gone. Giroud up front with Poldi behind or out wide.

Ferdinand? No way, he was in his day but his fitness is too erratic these days. Vidic is much better, though he has a bit of recovery from injury ahead of him.

What is this world class. Can i put it on my cornflakes?
    Non
Can i pour it in my car and use for oil ?
    Non
Can I use it as a measure to show who has the better player?
    Non

This was an outtake from the Henry what is vavavoom ad.
It was showing that having an arguement using world class as a measurement without defining the value of the measurement is silly.
Why not use would get into the united side . For example how many arsenal players would get into the united side. How many united players would get in the arsenal side.
Even this arguememt would be boring to read but atkeast yhe unit of measurement is tangible.
    Thanks for your time.
Best wishes Dennis Bergkamp(head of units of measurement for all things scieence)

Why are the supposed number of world class players in the Manchester United team being debated in the Arsenal thread? Why does anyone in here give a ****? All we should care about is the 11 players who line out for Arsenal on Saturday.

Yep. Suprising isn't it? I think we should start Scholes tomorrow. We need more experience in the middle of the park this season. World class player.

My revised first choice for Saturday would be:

    Szczesny

    Yennaris -- Mertesacker -- Vermaelen -- Gibbs

    Song?
    Arteta
    Diaby

    --- Walcott
    Gervinho
    Podolski

Cazorla misses out due to his long flight mid week. Bring him on in the second half. Likewise with Giroud for playing 90 in midweek. Obviously Song is unsure but if he's here and not in talks with Barcelona then he starts. If he's even in talk with Barcelona at the time he's staying at home in bed.

And who do you suggest plays in Song's position tomorrow if he's not there?

    Song won't play.
Wenger has said what i have said many times, "Diaby, Wilshere Arteta, Ox" they can all do the job.

is kos definitely out for the game with sunderland? ill have to take him out of my FF team if he is

    Probably be Coquelin.

Is Ramsey getting an extended vacation due to the Olympics or will he be around? If he's around Arteta could play further back.

It could be any of them from Coq to Arteta.
In the long run , I believe it will be Diaby who will hold that position (if he can stay fit)

Coq is not good enough yet. Could be a disaster if that lineout starts.

Thinking this myself. The FF site has him marked in red as injured too.

Arteta will play as a DM. Cazorla will play a half and so will Giroud i'd imagine with Podolski dropping back to left side.

It should be a nice opportunity to see a new style of Arsenal play.
I'm looking forward to see more team play with no one man taking all the chances & glory
