I got married on July 7th. Since Sunday I've been out every night (with my wife, but she doesn't drink) because we have had friends and family visiting. I snore when I drink which is obviously driving her up the walls. Anyway - I have a friend visiting this weekend and I haven't seen him since 2005. She has a friend visiting on Sunday for a week as well so no doubt the drinking is going to continue for a bit.

I just bought her some flowers and a teddy to thank her for being so patient with me. What else should I do? I'm pretty sure she's sick to the teeth of getting no sleep. Not drinking this weekend isn't really an option - my friend has paid over 1500 to come see me.

Leave her. If she can't deal with you as you are, then she's not worth it.

Get her a hotel room and a voucher for an escort service. That should keep her happy.

Your marriage is doomed. Spending all your wedding money of the drink

No doubt this downward spiral will lead onto gambling. Then, in order to pay your gambling debt, you will find that you ARE the hooker and not paying the hooker. Your wife will boot you out and in years to come, I will be tossing coins at you as you sit on O'Connell Street.

    :(

    Fist yourself. :p

Colmustard - I did that last night and she woke me up and asked me to come to bed. She would rather have me there snoring than not there which is proving painful.

I do a lot for the girl - she's not working at the moment so I pay for everything (rent, loans, car insurance, phone, and so on). That doesn't entitle me to go on the lash for weeks on end, however stressful it may prove to be at times.

Tell her to pay for some anti-snoring things. You pay for the stuff she wants, she can at least pay for this one thing.

Research via the net, methods to help stop the snoring or go see your doctor?

Do you sleep on your back OP? That can make the snoring much worse

Buy her some good earplugs, the quality of the earplugs should reflect how much you love her.

Yeah I have sleep apnea, so it can get pretty bad.

Seriously, sleep on the couch. I don't know why this hasn't occurred to you as the best option here.

You do alot FOR the girl?! She is your wife for crying out loud, your partner in live. Using this stuff as an 'oh look at me arent I so good to the girl' angle is a joke. If I were her I would have you sleeping on the sofa, and not for your snoring, more for your lack of respect.

Can be pretty serious. Two best fixes are to cut weight (if you're overweight) and heavily restrict drinking. Nothing else is really going to be a long term solution.

All i can suggest is get medication for it, or save money for sugery to correct it, if possible
