In Germany, right wing patriots have adopted a new way to approach the flash mob phenomenon. They were making huge ground until the local police started raiding the leaders gaff's.

Ok. The political message for most is very unsavory. But can you imagine us Irish people protesting in November, when it stays dark until seven/eight am. And when the politician look out the window....... There are thousands of us marching in that style.

    Frightening stuff.

    Could it work in Ireland?

I'd imagine it would be too cold/wet to get a load of people out protesting on a November night...

Be great if you could though!

Imagine a large number of Irish people marching towards a bank/The Dail like this. If masks fall under our laws. Then we paint our faces, Joker style.

Just throw on a few balaclavas sure! Not sure how well they'd go down with the Gardaí though…

Non violent. If the white "The Strangers" type mask breaks the law, paint our faces. Simple.

The German kid whom organised this is in Ireland as we speak. He is 23. An IT specialist. Fired from his job for speaking about his political beliefs on German TV. He now operates his own company.

    Sound lad.

Surely it's not illegal to wear a mask though? Halloween and all that like...

It is. In public. If we really want to get into it.

Anything that pisses off the establishment will eventually be made illegal.

The kid that orchestrated this, had his home, his grandmothers gaff, raided.

Just when it was really ticking off.

Not like the Germans to go raiding gaffs! :p

    Not for some though, eh?

Idiot racist mob hiding their faces while they take to the street - how novel!

That's not funny, Anne Frankly, I think it's a bit tasteless.

I dont think this is right. Everyone had the right to protect there identity.

sure itsn't there some religions that cover their faces. If there are aloud so is the rest of society. Cant have laws that apply to some and not to others

Can we not just hurl rocks at windows?

Or do nothing as we are so good at?

Indeed, he sounds quite the treasure.

Appears that he has a lot of fans amongst the mouth-breathers over on Stormfront.

Wouldn't work in Ireland; the usual suspects would just get violent and start causing damage.

I'd imagine that they involve panzers at some stage

    What's his political views?

Standard racist right-wing/neo-nazi fare with a twist of social network and copycat Anonymous stylings.

According to a rough translation of this video on Stormfront, he thinks that the NDP aren't doing enough to stop the "demographic catastrophe" in Germany and that the German people have been duped for 60 years.

Bare in mind that I'm paraphrasing a pretty crap translation from SF, so if anyone that speaks German can translate, that'd be a great help.

I'd love to see a protest like that for something like fathers rights or funding for a children's hospital.

"The Josef Mengele Paediatric Centre", maybe?

    Should be banned.

The point of a protest is to draw attention to a point/issue, not to intimidate.

I can't think of any reason why its justifiable to march in that way.

I'm right-wing myself, and agree with most of their views, but this is a step too far, straying from indignation/outrage to knackerism.

Because nothing says democracy like using intimidation to get your way.

The German way. It hasn't gone away, just modified its methods to liquidate the unpure.

A protest for what, our government are not acting against the people, our government are trying to sort out the mess we are in.

We could do that but it is not going to cancel the debt or up Ireland,s productivity, we are here and there is nothing anyone can do to change our economic circumstances.

Actually I think Enda and crew are doing a good job. We may not need a second bail-out.
