Is picking up a new language difficult?

Was thinking of International Commerce, starting off with French, German or Italian and keeping French or German to degree. Problem is, I don't do German or Italian and am afraid of f*cking up college, I don't want to have to change courses!

    Thanks :D

Depends: are you linguistic? Have you tried learning German or Italian in your own time to see if you like it?
