That has me a bit worried.
    RVP is replaced already.

I would tie Walcott down now too tbh.

Maybe wenger has enough after the statement and decided your gone maybe songs attitude was horrible and decided your gone
Maybe after been shat on last year our manager is after growing a pair
    You never no

Would be a very delayed reaction after all those who left before. I think the Board and Wenger are just recouping some of the money they spent earlier in the summer. They had planned for him leaving and bought so they decided to sell regardless to recoup the money. We worry about money a lot at Arsenal.

We spent the Queensland rd money it don't need to be recouped

To summarise: RVP releases statement wanting to leave, Arsenal strengthen, RVP wants to stay, Wenger says piss off

    Haha

If I asked before all this blew up if you'd swap a brilliant but injury prone player in the last year of his contract for Podolski, Giroud and Cazorla. Would you have said it was a good idea? I would.

Song gone to Barca reports have been building all day, reportedly Wenger told Song hes no longer needed, which if he is sold I would tend to believe since he has a long contract , its come out of nowhere and reports of him having a terrible attitude.

I really hope that's wrong. His attitude on the pitch has always been good.

Hmm, reading page 4 and I just saw it's up to page 20, this is going to make for some good reading.

I hope its wrong to if we loose him and Walcott aswell we really are back to square one again.

If Song is to go along with that traitor, we most certainly need to go out and spend more players. But once again looks like were in for a nervous end to the transfer window with comings and going, dont know if my nerves can handle it again this year :(.

I dont think any of us were, himself along with Song reports and heavy reports of Sahin to Liverpool have really messed my day up. WTF has happened.

M'villa to replace Song and Llorente to replace RVP. Wenger has to Akers a statement in my eyes. Also think he can afford to let Walcott leave so Aston improve the defence

Wilshire returning lie his old self will be vital also

Don't know but we could do without talk of our better players going while there is not a word about some of the dross we have on the panel leaving. Except of course Vela who left for 4m.

In fairness to Song he came out and denied the transfer and didnt fan the flames. Said he was very happy at Arsenal so its a mad one really.

Anyhow ive a feeling Park Ju Young is going to explode this year. He is just holding back, getting used to the English culture and how things work until one day he'll be dropped in at Old trafford with all eyes on RVP.....Then BAM right under the radar.....Hat trick!!! :D

Only way Park will explode is if he sets foot in North Korea ffs

    :D:D:D:D:D:D

Perhaps Wenger could wave a North Korean flag in front of him before a game. Show him a picture of Kim Jong-un's big puss with a scowl

Well, Im quite happy with the RVP deal, as regards to Song i think that if we get a solely defensive minded midfielder instead of him we will be better off.

About Walcott I really hope we do keep him as he is a very important player to us even though many don't see it. Yes hit and miss but when hes good he's very good. Even to just have him as a super sub.

I disagree. Arsenal were one player short of a league "challenge" last season.

Apparently Hernandez (Chicarito) is after handing in a transfer request at the Mancs. He'd hardly come this way. Decent player.
If he'd stop the praying bull**** I wouldn't mind him so much.

Im disgusted over the loss of yet another world class player at the club. We can all say RVP is this and that and i do agree to certain degree but there is something seriously wrong at Arsenal football club the way we are loosing all our best player for the past several seasons.
I think the game is gone down the toilet and im even thinking will i bother my b***ix watching the EPL anymore! For me its same sh*t different season at AFC!
What's wrong at the club? We had a lot of bad luck last season (not within matches as such) and this summer we had made a good signing and had two more in the pipeline when RVP put out his bull**** statement. Wenger was completely caught out by it, it was completely self-serving and obviously self-fulfilling.

I'm pissed off at him. In the last thread I said that if I were in charge I'd leave him on the bench, not the reserves. Put him on for 30 seconds every second game so he couldn't void the contract. Leave him with no match practice for a year and see who was willing to pay a 30 year old who hadn't played a match for a year. Rightly I was called a dick or just being irrational. There was nothing the club, the board or Wenger could do once that statement was released. If they took a hard line they'd be criticised for losing so much money, they let him go and they get this reaction.

Even if we lose Song I think we're well set up for this year if we get 10 full league matches out of Wilshere. If anyone wants to name a points spread compared to the league winners for a charity bet I'll be up for it. I'm still optimistic but the fact that he's going to bloody United just says it all about him.

Couple of other thoughts, I hope he's kept with us for a week or two of very intense training. Also, I really do look forward to the chants at the Emirates. I'd say the girl who accused him of rape will be googled quite a lot over the next while and he'll hear her name an awful lot.

The real Number 10 would never have gone to United.

"We love you Denis, we do"

RVP - nothing, not a blip

If we signed a proper DM and lost Song we'd still have had a great transfer window.
Walcott, I dunno. I agree he doesn't get credit he deserves but I feel we have enough midfielders/forward players to cover for him.

Given that he's a United fan, was named after Denis Law and was offered to United numerous times by Inter (as makeweight in a Cantona deal), I'm pretty sure that he would have gone to United...

And his name's "Dennis", not "Denis"...

Bergkamp's the only Dutch number 10 we've ever had.

Oh so your trying to say that a player who Wenger helped turn his career around and had many a successful year at Arsenal and was one of the best players to ever play in the EPL United fans and Alex Ferguson never would have wanted to see in a United jersey?

Bergkamp was loyal to Arsenal and even when he was only offered a one year contract year after year decided to stay when he could have got better deals elsewhere. Hes an Arsenal legend and always will be unlike his fellow lowlife countryman.

Also trying to belittle someone for a simple spelling mistake you just make yourself look like a dick, now off ya go and dont let the door hit ya on the way out.

Daily Mail are claiming that Hernandez is coming our way as part of the deal. They really do just make it up on the spot, dont they? :pac:

    - FYI Wenger didn't even sign Bergkamp...Bruce Rioch did.

    - Of course Fergie and United fans would like to have seen Dennis Bergkamp at the club...not quite sure where you got the idea that I said they wouldn't have? Bergkamp was deemed a failure at Inter and was offered to United as a makeweight in a deal to bring Eric Cantona to the San Siro. I'm sure that the issue was that United didn't want to lose Cantona rather than them not wanting Bergkamp.

    - I wasn't belittling anyone over a "silly spelling mistake". If you can't see the humour in a poster more or less declaring their undying love for one of their club's most famous players and then spelling his name wrong, well...

    - And as for RVP, he's won very little and time's running out for him. At United, he'll be playing with better players and have a better chance of winning trophies. Plus he'll be better paid. And Arsenal are doing well out of the deal too so it could be a "win win".
