Check the stickies on the top of the forum, there's a form you can fill out which will tell us what you need.

Just post your answers here and we'll help you out as much ad we can. I'll put up a build for you tomorrow morning if you fill out the questionnaire.

Nope

Emm not really i have a tv that's compatible but would love a seperate monitor

Why Vista? Windows 7 is much better and €55 though software4students.ie

Peripherals would be the likes of a Keyboard and mouse - get them anywhere really apart from where I've suggested you buy as the KB will be German.

All this will have changed by October.

If the budget will stretch to it get this motherboard so you can upgrade later. You might want to fire 8GB of RAM in too for an extra €20.

Meh - I'd push the budget for a 7850 but only after I'd got the other two upgrades I suggested.

Building a PC is a piece of cake since youtube - if you're stuck youtube it.

You're clearly posting on something now - so post on here if you run into issues.

Have a look around this forums there are loads of PC build guides. Just take it slowly, read the manuals and think it though you'll be grand.

Anything beyond this is diminishing returns - e.g less value for money and you generally need a specific reason to go beyond it. Everything else is a compromise. In an ideal world yes an i5 would be a good idea but you want a 'K' series one to get the benefit and then you need a decent cooler.

I always thought the 7950 was priced poorly for its performance. I'd opt for a 670 for an extra €30. But I think that's just me

670 vs 7950 - primarily depends on resolution.

All 7950 aren't equal however - that particular one has some features which potentially make it a beast.
