Heat sink touching case ... Maybe

I'm coming close to finishing my new build, and I believe that part of my heat sink may be touching the case, or coming very close to it (left for work before I could confirm). It is a True Spirit 140 in a Cooler Master 690 II case. The heat sink copper pipes extend a bit over the vanes, and here the problem lies. Is there a risk of a short if the case was being touches by those pipes? If not, is there a risk of heat damage?

It shouldn't be able to short unless there are other issues such as a damaged CPU. What id does to cooling I'm not sure - but I wouldn't think it will effect it much.

Your case will act as a very large heatsink and help cooling. It also wont have any affect on shorting anything.
I had a htpc set up like this so I could passively cool it.
