To further compound the fact that the Afghanistan war is a farcical debacle (either that or it's just one massive money laundering exercise), the Taliban have expressed unbridled joy at the resumption of supply convoys from Pakistan. Robbing these convoys and/or taking massive payments from US/NATO/Private forces to allow them through unmolested provides a large chunk of the Taliban's income.

Kind of makes a mockery out of the phrase "providing aid and comfort to the enemy".
