Got a van insurance renewal quote in the door the other day for €370
I was happy with it but decided to check with another broker out of curiosity and got a new quote for €270.I was over the moon.

Pure coincidence last years broker rang me a few hours after getting the €270 quote and I told him I wont be re newing as I have a new quote for 270.
he says oh I can cut mine to 350 ,I said but sure I have a quote for 270.

I finish the call and 2 minutes later someone else from old broker rings me claiming to be the boss sh1teing on how they dont want to lose customers and that he can now do it for €262.

I said 262 ? your colleague just said 350 as the lowest and more stranegly
my renewal letter was for 370?

he claimed he had more leway than his colleague.

Rip Off Ireland is still alive and well Im going with the new broker for €270.

    Insurance company is Zurich.
I taught the same that its very cheap but all seems above board and the fact the old broker cut his quote to €262 it must be right.

    New broker is Quotedevil.ie

Cheers Robbie, never heard of them but Zurich are one of the best insurers around.

    Good work :)

I saw this poem posted on another forum I taught it was very good.:pac:

    "I have outlived my pecker."

    My nookie days are over,

    My pilot light is out.

What used to be my pride and joy,

    Is now my water spout.

Time was when, on its own accord,

From my trousers it would spring.

But now I've got a full time job,

    To find the f***in' thing.

    It used to be embarrassing,

    The way it would behave.

    For every single morning,

It would stand and watch me shave.

    Now as old age approaches,

It sure gives me the blues.

To see it hang its little head,

And watch me tie my shoes!!

That video bought back some memories when I was living in London in the 80,s. I worked up in Deptford High st for a couple of weeks once. It still looks the same and is still a *hit hole as it was back then, nothing has changed over the years.

I remember we used to go to breakfast at a cafe along there and the winos were on the drink then at 10 in the morning , no Dutch gold for them boys they used to drink Tennents super lager or carlsberg export , mind blowing stuff at about 8 or 9% alc. They would be on it all day

The worse winos out of all of them were known as "meffers" These boys would drink cheap cider mixed with methylated spirits and were completely out of it most of the time, the used to call this drink "Jack" or "elderardo".
When we used to go home about 5.30 you would sometimes see some of these meffers who had passed out on the pavement, lying in their own piss stoned.

Not a nice area to be after dark. :(
