What's the general advice for using a mic?Should i just buy a cheap one?is it possible to use a smartphone?

I just got mine working too...couldnt figure it out as it was set to 5.1 in sound manager, all speakers played there sounds in the window test, but in game was always front stereo.

Unplugged the headset from the front jack and it worked, could hear every sound from every angle

Just need to figure out how to keep it working when i plug in the headset, as I use it just for communication with teamspeak (only teamspeak chat in headset speakers)

Any ideas?

Ive a cheap PC - Line headset, its fine for talking/listening, but cant comment on using it for ingame sounds as I use 5.1 speakers...

Desktop USB mic and sennheiser headphones.

Ive a cheap PC - Line headset, its fine for talking/listening, but cant comment on using it for ingame sounds as I use 5.1 speakers...

Hawkeye as you know I use a Logitech USB headset with mic, and you know how good I am at picking up distant gun shots even during thunder storms and rain, and how I'm able to pinpoint which direction there coming.

My advice is to ditch the 5.1 speakers which is better for music and movies and go for some good 5.1 digital USB headset for gaming.

Think I may do the same. I don't like wearing headsets. But man when you are getting fired at, It's next to impossible to pick out the direction with only stereo sound

Was on FR16 actually, I havent encountered many ALT F4's on boards tbh. Thats mostly because im always using an M107 or AS50 1 hit kill no chance to DC

What the game gives in unreal game play it takes away with shít netcode. Lost pretty much everything I stole of those lads in my backpack when I logged back on. M107 rounds, spare range finder food & drinks. Now im going to die of thirst

NO WAY I actually just killed someone with the same guns and ammo as I lost in the south AF. Is it possible I got my revenge?:D

Edit: just got shot in South AF while gutting a cow.

I've been raging over this for the past few weeks,I have a .50 calibre rifle well capable of killing from 1 click away but I can't see the damn tree line 200m in front of me!!

well i just got a 900m kill on the boards server, just before it started raining, rain is ****, other than that it aint too bad. if the target is somewhere over 900m though he'll dissapear even if you can see beyond that, i find that annoying

Server seems dodgy. Feck all loot. (Electro Firestations / church /supermarket). And no zombiew were chasing me, even when i ran up close to them. They attacked from where they were standing but wouldn't move.

Got killed testing it out. Oh well...

Placed a tent last night and put some guns in it I found at a heli crash then logged off. Today the tent is gone but I've found 3 other camps nearby with tents and loot inside

This usual? I know tents were going missing but just mine now? So sad...

EDIT: Plus I was very nice and just took 2 cans of food from one tent, leaving the guns and stuff to the owners

I also wonder why he didn't keep playing on the server he died on.

It's an admins decision on whether a player with the capacity to alt+f4 belongs on the server.

By the looks of it your video's grand finale was you killing him and getting your gun back and now you're butthurt because it didn't work!

Yeah all that barbed wire is border line griefing tbh, should be bannable to spam it like that.

Either that or toolboxes should spawn more frequently.

My Arma II and Arma OA are updating via steam now. Arma II 38.2mb OA 469.6MB

FYI I had to manually update BE.
Downloaded the v1.61.94945+ version and replaced the files in the following places
programs(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2 Operation Arrowhead/expansion/battleye
programs(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma 2/battleye
Users/Name/AppData/Local/Arma 2 OA/Battleye
