DayZ Zombie Mod for Arma 2

**** this ! Ran over the whole airfield, got some nice loot.. 1 zombie hit me.. clock.. dead -.-

Had the best loot i ever had, found two chopper sites around the airfield. DMR, bison sd, m16 ccg, that barrett .5 sniper rifle, ammo for em all, all the toolbelt mods etc.

Zombie comes out of nowhere and knocks me unconscious in one hit, the slow one not the quick one, i die.

Respawn next to the sea, i kill myself about 20 times to see if its possible to spawn closer inland to get closer to my corpse. 19 of those 20 times i respawn next to the sea, so fustrating, wish it was random! The one time i did respawn inland i spawned inside a house in navy sobor which is pretty damn close to the airfield so i was pretty estatic. Naturally though i couldn't move out of the house, I was clipped inside the house so i couldn't escape or do anything, spammed "V" at every angle.. no progress. Had to commit suicide again, the following 20 respawns i was next to the sea again....

So screw it, i started the long trek back up again to the airfield, as soon as i started out i got a cold (yes it does exist!), lotsa coughing for effect, first time that has happened me, started loosing blood about 3 blood a second. Never thought i'd actually ever have to use a heat pack. Finally made it up to the airfield in one piece, found my corpse. Zombie comes out of nowhere and one swipes me unconscious again..... i die again course.


I try the respawn spam again but no spawns inland... sigh.. another trek up the long way again. No cold/flu this time on the way up, was raining the last time so the sun helps. Half way there a bullet lands into the grass next to my foot followed by a couple more distinctive *crack crack crack* of bullets passing over your head. Almost **** a brick when that happened, made a Z line to the closest cover and thankfully the dude was far enough away that i managed to evade him.

So eventually made it back to the airfield again! Found my corpse, stealthed around the zombies next to the downed chopper about 100 metres away from my corpse. Looted all my crap and just as i was standing back up again i see a zombie running right up to me, yep you guessed it, unconscious in one single swipe yet again..................


... and death followed.


So yeah after about 3 attempts and long treks over that distance i cant be arsed anymore. Its been an interesting morning for me.

Corpses disappear after 2 hours right? Heres roughly where my corpse was if anyone wants it, some sweet loot in it.

Its kind of in between the airfield and that warehouse type building to the far right with the petrol fuel sign on it. About 100 metres down from the crashed chopper. (Chopper should still have loot in it too, think i dropped a FN FAL there in favour of the DMR)

Surely spawning inland isnt a proper spawning point?

All spawns should be along the coast, at various locations?

i might be wrong, but i just combined M1911 ammo, to revolver and back again.

I had 1 bullet in the clip left, it now shows a full bar next to the ammo picture.. sweet.

Just had a look inside the mission PBO file, there is a spawn point just to the north west of Novy sobor, along with the regular ones along the coast, so it isnt a hack or a glitch, just a very very low chance of getting it.

Another thing, I didnt see any options to set time or adjust any other parameters (for purpose of scripting auto restarts), so guessing there is a server side version of the mission file?

PvP Logout at 16:57 ( I think 15:57 in your Timezone ) at Medictents in Cherno, Minze shot him, he fall to the ground and logged out.

yes excatly. i got a ban for it too ( logged out after 10min camping in the ATC, got killed 20min later after rejoin ) and i know that it sucks. So if i see anyone logout while got shot i will just report it in the Forum so he got what he deserves, thats the deal. I was thinkin its fine if im waiting 10min for logout, but its still a pvp logout because the know im there and camping me, i couldnt left there.

that ban list must be coming along nicely.....

Maybe an actual ChernoBoyz ArmA squad, then we could see that from the playerlist.
