It's probably the most expensive radio slot :)
For some unknown reason I've been buying Lyons tea these days...

(Naah, I've been drinking it for years. I must be addicted, evil, evil Lyons!!:))

Is there more ads on Liveline than any other show on Irish radio?

Moncrief has to be worse, seems like theres an ad every 10 mins on that show.

Newstalk is a commercial radio station, so needs more ads than RTÉ which is funded by the licence fee and ads. And it might only be your perception, I'm guessing there is a cap on the advertising content per hour to get your broadcasting licence?

Yes there is a cap on advertising for both Commerical and Public service broadcasters.

RTÉ and TG4 can have a maximum of 9mins but may only have an average of 6mins per hour.

Commercial Radio can have a maximum of 12mins but may only have an average of 9mins per hour.

Commercial Television is allow 12mins of advertising per hour every hour.

In fairness, I'd need four weeks off to count my money if I was on Joe (the man of the people's) salary.

Oh please no. I get inexplicably cross listening to him. I listen to it alone do I can argue back with the radio..
There must be someone in the halls of rte who could be a more suitable stand in

Given how much of a hypocrite Joe is, I wouldnt be surprised if he got a RyanAir flight to Donegal to spend the four weeks holidaying with Pearse Doherty.

    There are plenty.

Just not during June, July, August, late October, the last week of December, first week of January and for a fortnight around March or April.

There is a distant relative of Sean Quinn on defending the Quinn family.

This is going to be a bloodbath. Definately one to podcast :-)

I think I'd be exactly the same as Sean Quinn... F**K Anglo, there is no way I would try and help them... The amount of lies he must have been told by David Drumm and Sean Fitzpatrick, supposed professionals, and effectively nothing has happened to them...

yes Joe, but what *is* Crime... if you get what i mean.

FFS exactly - it's long overdue for RTE to be shut down on the basis on excessive broadcasting of negative tabloid doom and gloom propaganda and general shyte.
