I have a serious hankering for an Edwards Les Paul, either a John Sykes signature or a 92 in Black Aqua (actually blue) and was heading for the katana guitars website but it appears to be no longer active. :(

Do any of the good peoples that inhabit this board know where one could get one with little hassle or translation difficulties?!

eBay is the obvious choice, though the Edwards like other Jap guitars have gone up a fair bit in price. I used to have a JS Edwards LP, but regretably sold it. It is a LP Custom with silver hardware and mirror type pickup rings and scratch plate. Seymour SH-6 pickups were rotten though, muddy mess, but great axe.

Haven't tried for a purchase, but did some drooling recently.:)

There's a lovely Black Aqua one on that site. €758 approx. Hmm, tax could make that damn pricey!

Unfortunately the tax + shipping is going to cost you when you buy from Japan.

    Bingo....

Yeah Richtone seem to be the people alright. I got my Tokai off them about 5 years ago and they were easy to deal with, but they are a pricey bunch

They had the Tokai LS92 for around €750 including shipping which was the best price online. The only area i can see Tokai Les Pauls for sale is from Japan. They are €700-800 plus tax etc.

Some decent bargains on Richtone though. A Tokai Flying V for £500.:)

The Euro is at a historic low against the Yen, apparently.

There was a time, roughly 3 years ago when Edwards guitars seemed like excellent value but the price has been increasing and the exchange rates are no longer favourable. In many ways I think Edwards time is passing.

And then it turned out that they were made in China, which made them a lot less desirable, to me at least.

Whenever I get a Les Paul style guitar it will almost certainly be a Bacchus!
