Amplfication Simplification?!

    Right, has anbody come across a one channel no frills Guitar amp (maybe reverb) amp for gigging, recording and accept pedals well? Doesn't matter if its solid state or tube, as long as it sounds good! Does such an amp exist???

    Any of the Sovtek models? Ampeg V-4? Are you looking for an all rounder Sunn model-T first series (70's) for it's clean channel and beef.

    Most are hard to find. Sovtek is about 500€. Ampeg is in the same range and would not pay more than 800€ for the first series model-T.

    Edit: There is a Sovtek on adverts with cab.

    herself has a marshall class 5; lovely little box, 5W all tube, and goes nice and loud. takes pedals well, no frills at all - just bass/mid/treble controls on it.
    the newer models are switchable down to 0.1W i think, so you can drive them hard at low volume.
    she paid €350 for it.
