    This game has highlighted the importance of the "Lucas" role in the way we are going to play.

    Ill be disappointed if we dont upgrade from Spearing, did Allen play there last night for GB?

    I'd like Pacheo to hang around I think.

    Spearing has been solid I think, does fine when tasked with that role.

    Wisdom and Ibe didn't achieve much down the right imo, but that's fair enough, obvious reasons for that.

    Pacheco was very good in that half
    Adam & Spearing were decent too
    Aquilani was poor hoofing the ball when a counter was on

    Sama looked fairly assured at the back. Wisdom has always been seen as the better prospect but some think Sama matured better last season and for me he looked the better of the two.

    Aquilani looked classy when he had possession but didn't get on the ball enough. How the hell he isn't taking corners and set pieces instead of Adam is baffling. I am building up some serious hate towards Adam. Praying he leaves over the summer. I think he had four set pieces his supposedly speciality and he hit the first man with all of them.

    Pacheco best player on the pitch that half.

    Lifetime supporter, long time lurker and first time poster.

    I'm at the game here. Fairly lackluster which isn't a surprise seeing as its their first outing. Pacheco seems to have something about him - looks lively. Himself and Enrique kept bickering and pushing each other on in the 1st half. They are playing really close to each other - Dani is hugging the touch line all game.

    Not much else standing out. I think the 2nd half team will have a little more bite about them - I hope.

    Oh and the jersey doesn't shine that bright in real life!

    For now that's all. I'm rather tipsy so forgive any grammatical errors, if any!

    Morgan'll probably get more support this half with Suso, Shelvey, Cole, Sterling and Adorjan playing, as well as natural width from both FB's.
