      Silicon Republic are reporting that it is rolling out in Ireland "soon", so a launch in Ireland tomorrow (today) doesn't look promising. The lack of Euro pricing in their PR doesn't look promising either! Weird how the Android App is being released tomorrow too but the iOS is coming soon after, usually the other way around. Something that was dropped under the radar was the HD content (720p) from NowTV coming to the Xbox too.

      Sky Anytime+ according to BSkyB needs a minimum download speed of 2Mbps, and that's just for SD content. HD demands faster still.

      I'm not fully up to speed with the average broadband speeds, contention of services, popularity of different technologies etc. currently in the Republic but it sounds like that outside of UPC's DOCSIS provision it's hardly much better than 2-3 years ago. OTOH we're quite spoiled in comparison up north.

      It gives you the option to pay with an Irish Credit Card so I think it it is available here.

      Irish credit cards are accepted the world over so I wouldn't read anything at all into that.

      From the terms and conditions it definitely seems that way Muffler but from their press releases to Silicon Republic, Newstalk and even their PR guy on twitter saying that it was available in Eire, maybe their communications company has made a complete f-up.

      Wouldn't be the first time for Sky though thought they had improved in the last few years.

      No what I mean is they give you a drop-down menu to pick which country you're paying from, and the only options are the UK and Ireland. Thought it might be an indication.

      Sounds like Muffler's full stop was premature and Newstalk et al knew what they were talking about yesterday, good to hear although it is a bit pricey.

      Would prefer to add the movie package to my own sky and have anytime+ in a couple of months.

      To be honest, you'd nearly be best subscribing to Sky Movies through your TV. It only works about €8 more expensive (they usually have some Summer offer on though this time of year) but you get more of an online catalogue of films, which you can download for offline viewing on your laptop and on your iOS/Android device.

      I tried to signup for the free trial, but I used an O2 Money Card and I don't have the equivalent of £15 (works out at just over €19) on it so it wouldn't process.

      Iwas just making enquiries about this today with the Sky guy in Liffey Valley, I was looking for the box set tabs
      One thing I need to know and it didnt strike me when I was talking to him.

      Will you require Sky Movies to watch the 'Box Set'? series?
      I dont think I can go the wifi route as I only have 8gb download over a four week period, so will have to wait till this anytime+ comes to ROI

      I aslo only have the old Sky+ box, so will I have to upgrade to the newer Sky+ HD boxes when anytime+ comes here?

      By the way,he aslo said there was no info on when anytime+ coming to ROI. He certainly didnt give me the impression it was going to be anytime soon
