    Everytime I log into the game, my character is in the same position, but all his gear is gone. This is on IE1.

    Sad thing is I got my first ever sniper rifle, gps, pistol with silencer etc etc and its gone. All yesterday it was happening.

    Is this a local problem to my client or some server issue?

    The server needs to be reset every 8 hours or so. It gets real buggy otherwise. We all lose gear or get teleported to the coast at times. But gearing up is like the best part of the game :D

    Just to be clear items are saved in the Hive if you have a gun, car, chopper whatever and the server is reset then you should still have them. So if something vanishes www.dayzmod.com and demand your **** back.

    Server reset only resets the server doesnt reset the "persistent" database that the server connects too. We cant force vehicles back to respawn locations. They go back when the Hive tells them too.

    The downed choppers do respawn upon every restart tho as they are mission file dependant rather than hive.

    But hey bitch and whinge about stuff anyway :cool:

    Noob Q,

    Is there a way for us to chat with each other, server is pretty quiet even though there is plenty of people online. Group, direct and vehicle chat is all I can find.

    Hey if asking a question is classed as whingeing then thats a first for me! We play on loads of different servers and stuff like this never happens. I think that merited a question tbh....

    From TS forum.
    Be careful updating as some as RCs for 1.61 and you cant roll back.


    Steam users prepare to download Arrowhead again unless they have fixed the steam update issue (didnt for 1.60 which was last december).

    90% of these betas are Dayz related and the performance gain client and server wise is superb.

    There a lot of issues with these at the moment.


    We will only use the latest stable ones.

    I was out in the middle of nowhere on the boards server a while ago & only had 1490 blood left. I met 2 others who I cant remember their names (one of them had sub in his name) & we travelled together. All we had in the line of weapons were a hatchet each. I kept fainting & eventually got killed by a zombie after fainting & one of the 2 who were with me tried to help & the zombie killed him too. If either of those 2 are reading this, thanks for looking out for me & sorry that I may have gotten you killed.:(

    Most guns kill in 1 or 2 hits. Some guy pays for a AS50 ill be happy to kill him with an Enfield and grab it for myself.

    In fairness if you want to pay me money for my M4 CCO....go right ahead. How epic would "meet me in Solnichy at 3pm....arrive alone" be :D Totally shooting them in the back.

    Btw thats just some lad or enterprising group offering that, its not the dev team or BIS.

    Thanks. When I played last night, I had heli wrecks on my map but today did not. Do you know why this might be the case? Maybe I'm doing something wrong unintentionally. Do I have to link the dayzdb.com/map somehow to the server?

    Wut?
    Crashed helis just spawn on the server in semi-random places (open fields). they are in the same position for everyone on the server and they respawn when the server restarts.
