How do I get onto the boards server?

I look at the map list via CheckSix and only see 1 server with an Irish flag.

Anybody able to tell me where to look for the boards server?

Moving up to a deer stand yesterday and 4 Zeds spawn.
Then 2 more.
Then 4 more.

just search for " IE" and you'll get both Irish servers. Boards and the other IE one.

One annoying thing I've noticed with the new patch is that if you are in a loot spot zeds now spawn on top of you and if you have your back turn to them then you get hit before you know whats going on... Twice they spawned right in front of me last night and hit me, making me bleed, before I could react.

Hey,

So I got DayZ up and running yesterday after buying Non-Steam version from main site. When I downloaded the Mod from the DayZ site, it was actually the 1.7.1.5 version. Do you think I'm better off playing on the few servers running this version till a better version than 1.7.2 comes out?

Indecently - Non-Steam version set-up was p*ss easy for anyone new thinking of getting this (very few steps). I've been able to join all games from the start no problem also (albeit on 1.7.1.5 though!)

Thats probably a good idea.
I say anyone who plays 1.7.2 before any other version will probably never play the game again because they think its always that bad.

1.7.2 isnt that bad to be honest. Yes its very easy to attract zombies, but its also alot easier to lose them.

I attracted a few, ran inside a red house with 2 doors, out the other door and crouch walked around the building and infront of a wall, lost the zombies by breaking line of sight.

That was a little ridiculous last night. 9 or so zombies around that one dear stand...

They just took sneaking out of the game, I spent 30 minutes trying to get out of cherno and had to run back to the church each time with 10 Zeds at my back.
I like the fact that there seems to be more zombies, but they really need to tone down their detection.

It is easier to lose them in a house, but it's now a case of sprinting through buildings hoping for a gun, and I have no intention of going near barns.

One tactic that seems to work in cherno is just kill them before they detect you, they don't seem to hear the guns as much now for some reason.

I noticed this yesterday too. Even the lee enfield doesn't attract them as much as it used to.

Vit fired it last night and they just came from bleeding everywhere, considering what had happened previously and how nervous we where he pissed himself alaughing.

Sorry MrTimewalk, you spawned in front of me scared the **** out of me and were turning towards me with an M4A1. Fired out pf panic more than anything else

Just logged onto the boards server and the debug monitor is wrong from zombies killed to blood. Even stuff I collected like cooked meat is missing. It didnt seem to save my last 15-30 minutes of the last session I had which was yesterday. Anyone find this problem? Do you have to wait for the server to save now to keep your stuff, and if so then how often does the server save? Guess I'll have to camp somewhere for x amount of time before logging out for a while...

People with camos having issues losing items with 1.7.2 and items falling out of their backpack.

lol that was just too funny though! One M107 shot and people in cherno must have been dumbfounded when all of a sudden their zombies despawned. I could see them running over the damn hills!

Saying that, the barracks spawner did scare the bajesuhs out of me!

I have four cores, but it seems setting this parameter to 2 is the way to go. Can anyone explain why?

I was the same, but was using 94444, exited and rejoined in debug zone, tried a few other servers but all the same....
Running back to map now...gonna take a while....

I use cpu count 2 with I5 2500K , maxmem 2gb (have 8gb) and 6870.

Btw for anyone gets a drop in FPS in game (somewhere safe) hold down CTRL LEFT SHIFT and MINUS on the number key.

The type FLUSH and it will clear the video memory and should run normally.

You don't see anything while doing this BTW.
Just do it and your screen will flash black for a sec.

When I bring the ie1 server up in my favs its ping is 265! Wht is it so massive? It used never go above 70 before.

Edit: this is the case with all servers, none have pings below 250.
