Flask for soups

    Hi,

    I'm starting a course next week for three weeks and as I'll be bringing my own lunches with me, I'd need a flasK for soups etc.

    I'd prefer something that isn't too expensive.

    I'd appreciate any suggestions as I really don't know what flask to go for, there are so many out there.

    Not sure if I posted this thread in the right/wrong section, apologies to mods if it is in the wrong section, could you please move it to the right section?

    Tesco sells Thermos flask for food/soup for €10. I think it fills up about 450ml. I bought two of these for when I was in hospital (hospital food icks!), one for rice and one for soup/stew. Kept them warm for about 4-5 hours.



    Edit: whoopsie, I see now that it can fill up 500ml. Even better :)

    I use a Thermos flask too, they're really reliable. There are stainless steel-lined flasks nowadays but I don't like them because the steel affects the flavour of some soups, in particular anything with tomato in it.

    I have that flask, it keeps stuff hot for hours so would really recommend it. I would advise staying away from cheap flasks, they're a false economy, as the ones in my shed will testify ;)

    I have that one - in that size and the larger one, they're great. Woodies also sell them if Tesco haven't any.

    Best tip: Preheat the flask with boiling water just before filling it!
