It's strange. They seem to enjoy claiming to be.

    From here: http://www.wit.ie/about_wit/at_a_glance/about_wit2

"Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) is a university-level institution in the South-East of Ireland with over 10,000 students and 1,000 staff."

That's not claiming to be a university.

They are simply saying it's as good as a University, despite only being an IT.

It's not a University, nor is it University level either. I studied there, and I'm afraid too many lecturers were underqualified on subject matter. There are a few star lecturers who stand out, but overall - I felt that in order to be a University - all lecturers should at least be educated on the topics they lecture.

Probably is around 6 or 7K to be fair, but that sounds weak so they said 10K on the website ;)

Honestly though, Cork Road campus is often very quiet during the week, and I can't imagine the Chapel being much busier. Having been there once or twice it's dead quiet down there!

There is 10,000 students which are spread across 3 campuses and including part-time courses talk about people being petty on the subject
