Laptop I received 5-6 days ago is definitely faulty.

How do I go about getting a replacement, Google translate is making a dogs' of Amazon.de

I also bought an additional 4GB RAM chip, should I send that back also?

Never returned anything in my life so pardon my ignorance.
I am looking for a replacement and not a refund.

I find it very hard to follow the instructions accurately, even with Google Translate.

Could I email/call them in English?

    Google Chrome.

Is there any chance I could contact Samsung, instead of Amazon.de?

Anybody have any idea about the cost of sending this back?

Install this on your Google Chrome browser

No point contacting Samsung, the refund/replacement policy is straight forward with Amazon.de.

You will not pay anything to get that Sammy sent back to amazon.de.

    Okay, I printed a label.
So if I pack this with all it's original contents, slap the label on it and bring it to my local An Post, they'll send it for free?

My returns were always handled by DHL,basically is a pick-up service.
Never heard about returning any item to Amazon.de using the an post .
Clarify that with Amazon.de before sending the lappy back to Germany.

I just emailed them there in English to clarify whether they will pick it up or not.
    Will update.

Ask for refund then, not a replacement.
This is the first time I heard that a customer was asked to contact a manufacturer.
I'm on my mobile atm but I'm pretty sure that you can return the lappy back to Amazon within 30 days.
Don't let them to fob you off, ask for money refund asap.

I'm quite happy to get a replacement though?
I'll doubt I'll get a better laptop for the price I paid.

    Ok

    I misread your post there.

Did Amazon say to contact Samsung to arrange the replacement or to repair ?

    I have three options.

    #1 Contact Samsung

#2 Replace laptop through Amazon.de (but they don't collect, I have to post)

#3 Return laptop and receive refund (And then proceed to purchase the same laptop at a lower price)

I Will be contacting Samsung today to see if they can replace and hopefully collect for free, if not I think I'll go for option #3

Rang Samsung and explained quite thoroughly about what is wrong with the laptop.

I also explained quite thoroughly that I have tried nearly everything in an effort to fix it, and that it's definitely faulty.

    Of course,
I was met by somebody who talked stupid to me, and unless I firstly use the Samsung software to restore it then he can't help me.
I'm now backing up my entire C: Drive and I have to ring back after I'm done.

Samsung are collecting the laptop free of charge in two business days.

I got a BSOD yesterday when I was browsing the net, lol.
