    BROADCASTER Miriam O'Callaghan has pledged her commitment to RTE current affairs despite recent controversies that rocked the station.
    She said that flagship programme 'Prime Time' now "needs a strong face" more than ever after the fallout from the Fr Kevin Reynolds libel.

    Miriam is a decent presenter and she was originally headhunted by RTE from BBC's Newsnight in the early 90's but it's a bit much telling us all she's staying as if she was about to be poached by rival broadcasters.

    There is no rival broadcaster within Irealnd who could pay anywhere near the €300,000 mark she's on (approx). On the other hand she doesn't have the recognition abroad to bag a role quite as plum as the one she has at the top of the pile in the RTE. Also, her husband is effectively her boss now.....so that's nice.

    It's ok folks - Miriam is gonna tough it out with her hubby despite the massive salaries.

    Let joy be unconfined.
