My first choice has been the same all year, I'm very tempted to swap it with my second choice though. After that, I've been swapping numbers 3-8 around loads the past few months!

Last year I ended up finalising my decision on July 1st. That was a really bad idea, hence me repeating! Wouldn't be surprised if it takes me almost as long to decide again this year though. :( God I hate the CAO!

    1) Mathematical Science NUIG
    2) Maths in TCD
    3) Maths in NUIM
    4) Theoretical Physics and Maths in NUIM
    5) Physics and astrophysics in NUIG

    ^^ I'm indifferent about 2-5.... I just want number 1! I amn't even doing physics!! :L

STILL have engineering down. 99% sure I've made up my mind about it. :) I like how it's a general year first, I might decide I like mechanical engineering or something and do that. :D

Really? I'm probably going to take the physics and Astro off.

Yeah, just swap maths in NUIM with Actuarial Maths in UCD and they're identical! I've theoretical physics in Trinity in too though, but not really pushed on going there.

Astrophysics is my number 7.. the job opportunities that you get out of it aren't great, although it does seem interesting.

I only want mathematical science anyway :D

    1) Mathematical Sciences UCC
    2) Physics UCC

They're the only two I want to do so I don't care about the rest.

Which course I get is irrelevant because I'm going to choose the same modules regardless during first year. At the end of first year I'll either be choosing physics and maths or physics and applied maths which I can pursue from either course.

Just out of a matter of curiosity, why have you put NUIG as number 1, I have not done too much researching in to that course.

NUIG is just great. Both area/people and college. The course as well is more diverse as well, encompassing maths, app maths, computer science, probability/stats and also a science (Chemistry for moi!) You have until the end of second year as well to choose your specified area, and even then, you can choose modules from anything related (even financial maths - possibly actuary lawds!) It's the only course in Ireland that I seemed remotely interested in really! :L

    Englis&Film studies -Trinity
Film studies with a language (French) -DIT
    French, English, anthropology -Maynooth
    French&Art history -UCD

got some level 7's but it's mostly weird stuff like cooking and physics, thought I'd put it down regardless as I didn't like leaving it blank....

That sounds like a pretty varied course :P

Right so I think that's my CAO finalised. I might take out DCU nursing and put in Anthropology in NUIM at the bottom. I have about 4 level 6/7s but they're just science and culinary courses :) So excited to see where I'll end up!

Only have 5 level 8s.. It took so long to decide between my top two as I'm very academic but music is my life :pac: If I don't get my top two though I'd really be considering a repeat! But my teachers have told me that I have an aptitude to achieve far beyond the points requirement for my first choice so am not too worried. Just need to put in the work :)

I realy like the idea of doing a language with a business course. I'm worried about points and places.

Really don't know if I should change anything, my mum wants me to take all the UCD courses off for no apparent reason but realistically there are only three places I can go to do Law and French (if I get the points, which I probably won't) and I don't want to cut that down even more...gah

As far as I'm aware the course isn't fully computer science based, more finding out how to best set up a problem so a computer can work on it. Plus it has maths which I like and the philosophy seems interesting!
