What is the fascination with Africa?

Joe Costello has been recently there on a 'feasibility study' for something or other, Bertie was in Nigeria, Michael Martin was there some time back etc. What is the beef with this or are they there on general state business:confused:

Maybe they were out there collecting the £12 million they won on the Zimbabwe lotto. It would be more secure than sending their bank details in an email and I presume the lads that send the emails are happy for you to collect it in person too.
