Do microsoft points from the UK work in Ireland

I want to get some cheap ones off eBay but they`re English

That's fine. You would have problems if the points are from outside Europe, but UK ones should work in Ireland.

Not always. Europe is not taken as one region. Points from the UK are generally accepted but I'd warn against going further afield.
