Tutor training/certifying

    Does anyone know wher I can access a short course in tutoring-I plan to offer courses in my own specialty but I need some sort of qualification to teach it. I've checked online but there seems to be no spceific course out there. Thanks.:confused:

    If you wish to teach Level 5 FETAC or work in any publicly funded centre or college you will need to be registered with the Teaching Council which requires a degree and a teaching qualification. There is no short or quick way around it. But if it is a hobby course and not publicly funded then you do not need any qualification.

    Not totally correct.
    You can register with the teaching council under section 5 - Further Education - which doesn't - yet - require the teaching qualification.
