In general, I quite like the English.

And the French.

And the Germans.

Father Ted wasn't that great really.

Ireland would NOT "be the best place in the world to holiday - if only we got the weather" It would be very average.

We don't need great Weather......attracts the wrong type and we'd have martini umbrellas all over the place with awful tacky looking bars .Let it Rain rain rain .

Since there isn't a thread like this on the Soccer Forum I'll post it here.

Ryan Giggs is way over-rated. Yes he is a legend in terms of service to United, and his medal collection speaks for itself, but I genuinely believe he is over-hyped as a player.

He has just been crowned the greatest Premier League player of the last twenty years, but IMHO he wasn't even United's best player in that time. Keane, Scholes, Cantona and Ronaldo all played bigger roles in title winning seasons. There was a time from say 01 to 07 when he seemed to regress as a winger so was converted into a midfielder. Bar the odd good performance playing there, his contribution has been over-hyped. Scholes six months since he came out of retirement this season were far better than the season Giggs was awarded player of the year.

He was amazing, but that was over 12 years ago. Like you say after turn of the decade he went backwards, maybe a few good spells here and there but never deserved that award.
