I still think it was the right decision to appoint him. Alot of other fans will forget that the club was in turmoil when he took over. Fans were spilt into rafa and anti-rafa or anti hodgson and anti hodgeson. He gelled the club together and for that we should all be grateful

    all in your opinion.

you have no idea what was agreed, so to second guess, so as to have a go at him and the fans is a bit petty.

Sky Sports saying he has been sacked as well. This could get messy if that's really the case.

Will he be just Duke Kenny now? Not sure he'll manage another club or take up another position within the club.

8th in the league and now no manager. They need someone that will pick everyone off the floor, bring in the right players and make a go for a good position next year.

Whoever they bring in, it'd want to be fast so he can put his stamp on the team over the next few months or they are royally fcuked.

I can't see him ever getting another job in Football. His day has come and gone.

Better if he leaves Liverpool completely, let the new man make his own decisions.

He will always be a legend, but last season's results were terrible. The right decision has been made.

I'm sad that it ended like this but I think it's the correct decision. It's a pity that Kenny could not stay on at the club in some capacity. What now for LFC. They must have someone lined up to take over (please god not Martinez).

At the moment we have none of the following.
    NO Manager
    NO CEO
    NO DOF
    NO Director Of Communactions

We still are no closer to anything being done about the stadium.
I just hope FSG have some serious plans in place otherwise the current downward trend WILL continue.

I really hope to be proved wrong
Thanks for all you did Kenny.....YNWA

All the best Kenny, it just wasnt to be unfortunately.

    Gutted.

Feel sorry for Kenny, I think it's harsh. He should have been given more time.

I echo the sentiment of others.. if we target an unproven manager I will be concerned.

For me it's Rafa, or Capello of the available top tier managers. Of the possibly unavailable, Guardiola, or Mourinho.

Before they start, the haters can **** off with their nonsense about LFC not being able to attract management talent.

The Liverpool job will be a hard one for any manager willing to take it on.

The job is a poison chalice at this stage with 3 managers in 2 years, so much for pool being a club that prides itself on stability.

A new manager coming in will need money to spend and will also have to work with Kenny's desperate signings. I fear Kenny has set the club back a few years and can't see any other manager been given the time to sort out the utter mess he's left behind.

Please no Rodgers/Martinez/Lambert jokers. Let some other club take the risk.

Fenway better have someone lined up or this could be a massive OG.

Whatever has happened, he'll always be a legend at the club. That will never be questioned. I didn't think he'd get us back into the CL, I'm honest enough to say that.

Anyway, AVB is my preferred choice now.

    Is this an "exclusive" ?

Not a Liverpool fan but this is good for your club. He's past it and a lot of the nonsense last season e.g. Suarez should have been avoided. It will be interesting to see who ends up with the job now. For those of you hoping for Rafa, it's time for you to move on.

If the rumours that we've made an approach to someone in Premier League are true it has to be one of those three.

Bye bye Kenny, sad about this....he got off to a great start last year but writing was on the wall last few weeks.

What will happen now to Steve Clarke?

Also, the thoughts of Roberto Martinez at club leaves me cold.

I want to go back to the days when LFC always had good managers and teams and they never got sacked.

Shankly-Paisley-Fagan-Dalglish.....all seamless transitions, but then the wheels came off.

    ****. :(

Well if they do have someone who isn't from the shortlist of no-marks mentioned so far I'll accept it as a reasonable decision.

To replace him with someone like Martinez, Lambert or Rodgers though, would be colossally stupid. It would be far less a gamble to have just left him in charge than to go with 1 of the 3 of them.
I suppose, at least in Martinez' favour, he seems really likeable. That should give him some leeway if he's the one to come in.

If it's Rafa or another top manager with real pedigree than fair enough.

One upside is that this should mean a full committal on the monetary front. I can't imagine many managers would accept a shoestring budget for this job.

Martinez is the early front runner with bookies.

Please people, don't start calling Lambert a joker. He's clearly destined for the top.

Sad day for Liverpool Football Club.

Jesus, a bit shocked to read this now after all that went on yesterday and then the England squad announced this morning.

My opinion of this decision will be based entirely on who we replace him with.

    1. Rafa or AVB - Very happy.

    2. Emery or Deschamps - Content

    3. Lambert - Cautious to uneasy

    4. Martinez or Rodgers - Pretty pissed off tbh.

Probably left out a few realistic targets for each category but you get the drift.

Would like to add my thanks to Kenny for coming in when the club was in the ****ter, putting his reputation on the line and never backing down from the challenge. Add to that the Carling Cup and an FA Cup final. Just a shame things went so horrible in the league

+1 look what he's done with Swansea, imagine the team he could put together if FSG back him financially.

I can see the punchline, but where is the joke?

Are you seriously telling me that a good manager wouldn't get the best our of clearly talented players like Carroll, Downing, Johnson, Henderson or Coates, on top of reliables like Reina, Skittles, Dagger, Enrique, Lucas, Gerrard, Bellamy and Suarez? Forget what we've spent, just look at those players...

    Yeh, we are clearly screwed...
