Blimey - hold on to your hats (okay its the Mail...)

And they are completely right, the owners that is, not the Mail! The Suarez case in particular was ridiculous, whatever the rights and wrongs of it and debate about the details, choosing to go down the legal route of calling Evra a liar was bizarre and made it extremely difficult for Suarez.

Reminds me of a piece in the English Independent back in January and IIRC the American press picked up on it:

    http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/liverpools-problem-dalglish-was-left-to-walk-alone-6285003.html

All of which I think is correct but it doesn't explain the on field problems from March on.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

He's on a free, yeah? If so that means we can't talk to him until his contract is properly up.

If it's Belhanda, I might shed a few tears of joy :pac:
Really is a top class player who would make a hell of a difference to our team.

So any word at all on who it is?

Belhanda supposedly favours staying in France, if PSG come calling which it seems they will, then I think we have little hope

Looks a great prospect this season, but theres a hint of a gamble spending big money on this guy. But then again you have to speculate to accumulate and all that.

He's a very tidy player. I'm impressed. Would love him at Liverpool.

I'm just flabbagasted it's a football/player compilation that has decent music playing over it!

    It's ****ing retarded.

I am not exactly overly enamored with Kenny at the moment but the fans are so desperate for anything positive, that they being stupid.

So because the fans are frustrated, Kenny should tell them who we're selling and what the plans are to replace them in spite of how detrimental this would be to those plans?

Look, it's May. The season's not even over. You have to be patient with this stuff. If you want to vent, have a go at FSG for stalling on the stadium plans. No news on that front is far more unacceptable.

By the way, I agree with this view - seems that that wasn't obvious in my post.

We all know clubs dont play exactly by the rules.
I really hope Diame isnt signed as he is not an improvement on the starting 11

I hope it is not diame aswell

but can see why it could be. low cost and decent back up for lucas and an improvement on spearing

Leaving us to spend a fortune on 2 world class wingers:D

I still think a midfielder is more of a priority. A top notch midfielder to dictate the game is what Liverpool need most IMHO

I'd love a midfielder who's first instinct is go get forward with the ball at his feet instead of passing sideways and backwards. 40 yard diagonal passes look great but when you are trying to break down a team set up to defend deep it is useless.

Diame has impressed me whenever ive seen him for Wigan
decent signing if we get him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,648 ✭✭✭mav79

He'd be a very good squad player, reminds me of Momo the way he runs with the ball, deceptively good control. Would not be the type of player the team is crying out for imo. But we can't bury our heads in the sand and just hope Lucas will be 100% for the whole of next year.

He's missed a couple of howlers too this season.
One in particular was on live on Sky against Norwich I think.
He's not an improvement free transfer or not

Absolute tripe that he is better than Henderson.
You obviously have not been watching Diame struggling to get a game for Wigan?

Diame would improve the squad because our back up defensive midfielder is Spearing but he is not the standard of footballer LFC should be looking at.

He was away on international duty at the ACN but I don't think he featured.
Wigan's upturn in fortunes seem to have come about when he was a sub.
Liverpool need to concentrate on getting starting players not squad players.
And not squad players that aren't a real improvement on the current crop.

    yes but without CL football
its going to be hard to buy top quality
but we will need a better Squad since were in the Europa League
which i hope we take seriously
