What's the story with the press conference on Monday? Is this just pure rumour or confirmed?

Think so, apparently the one today wasn't supposed to happen either!

If Kenny is leaving this summer, I bet it won't be signposted this clearly in advance. He won't go on Monday imo.

If a new manager is appointed, how long do we give them to reach the objective of a top 4 finish???

No matter who is in charge at the beginning of next season, they will need more the one season to make their mark on the club.

Perhaps you should read my posts again without jumping to conclusions.
I'm on record that I think Kenny should be given another year.
I do feel though that FSG will make a change soon. I don't think they should.
If they do make a change I think they will approach an up and coming manager like Paul Lambert hence why I've had a bet on him at a big price.

if anyone thinks back two years, we all knew Rafa was leaving but I think it was June 2nd when he got the sack. I can't see Dalglish being sacked/leaving on Monday unless it's already been decided already which makes his recent press conferences about summer plans etc seem odd. So basically if Dalglish is leaving I wouldn't expect it in the next few days

It's a new regime at the club though and FSG do seem to be ruthless so comparing to when Rafa left may not be a good comparison.
I think this conference on Monday has just led to more speculation but I do personally feel FSG will call time on Kenny's managerial career by asking him to step aside or sacking him.

Paul Lambert although impressive has only had one season in the PL so far, the likes of Paul Jewell, George Burley, Phil Brown etc have all had equally impressive first seasons. Even look at Adkins at Southampton and how he's propelled them up the leagues, is it impressive enough for one of the top jobs in football?

I personally would give Dalglish another season over the likes of Lambert, Dalglish has had success from his first game at Celtic right through his Liverpool career and into management and if anybody thinks he honestly believes this season is acceptable they must be mad. He's just feeding the press positive propaganda but behind the scenes he won't be having a bar of this, throughout his playing and management career he's won 13 league titles so the gloss he's putting on this seasons cup runs I don't believe for a second. Dalglish is a born winner he will demand success.

We'll have a director of football before we have a new manager, surely. Unless we're scrapping the DoF role altogether.

What are people expecting? Kenny to announce to the public all the players that are available for transfer and how much the club want for them?

    Fckin fantastic.

It's your standard 'nothing to see here' statement guys. They're hardly going to outline any real plans for transfers in May, are they?

    It's ****ing retarded.

I am not exactly overly enamored with Kenny at the moment but the fans are so desperate for anything positive, that they being stupid.

So because the fans are frustrated, Kenny should tell them who we're selling and what the plans are to replace them in spite of how detrimental this would be to those plans?

Look, it's May. The season's not even over. You have to be patient with this stuff. If you want to vent, have a go at FSG for stalling on the stadium plans. No news on that front is far more unacceptable.

Didn't see anything wrong with any of his performances for us this season.

Would people like to see Martinez or Lambert as manager?

Remember the calls for Owen Coyle, the next saviour. Dodged a bullet there.

And of course our very own Roy...

Imo, either keep Kenny as manager,or bring someone in with pedigree. Not replace him with just someone who has finished mid table or dodged relegation, albiet with limited resources.

    Guillem Balague ‏ @GuillemBalague
Lfc owners have decided to keep Dalglish. But they are looking for a DoF. Will someone like Txiki Beguiristain work with KD? Intriguing

    Hmmm.

Lambert as far as I can tell clearly has pedigree. He's the exception the proves the rule that lots of managers who look good at lower clubs can't cut it at the higher ones (Like Roy at Liverpool for instance).
