Engine transplant

    Well, is it a big job (financially) to take the engine from one van and place in another - bigger body. Same manufacturer

    The safe answer is to say yes. If your asking this question.

    In reality it depends on allot of things.

    1. Does it fit on the same engine mounts and gearbox crossmember
    2. How complicated is the engine.
    3. Driveshafts fit at hubs and gearbox. If fwd
    Prop length if rwd and fitting
    4. Wiring is always a nightmare
    speedo, is it cable electronic
    6. How to splice the looms to get the engine and ecu to work.
    7. Clutch and linkage question Hydraulic? Cable?
    8. Is the breaking system sufficient
    9. Is it being converted to EFI from Carb and need a fuel return line.


    It really depends on the job. The more you have to change the harder it will be.
