Changing action on Stingray5

I'm looking for tips on lowering the action of my Stingray. I raised the action shortly after I got it about 3 years ago by changing the height of the saddles and changing the truss rod position. The (aland key) screws attaching the bridge to the body are run, not the threads, the hexagonals have turned circular! I raised it because I have a powerful left hand because of years of playing bad basses and I like controlling the volume with my right hand, using force to get a bit of distortion when I needed it but I miss the ease of running around my neck like I had with my deluxe jazz. So hopefully that gives all you folks an idea of the type of action I'm looking for!
