Spatchco , I assume you took her car registration and forwarded it to Higgins, and the Gardai.

Let us know how the investigation progresses.

I dislike Joe Higgins , but there is no room for this type of shennagins if it is true.

Indeed, what posters does Joe have up? He hardly has his own specialised ones for the referendum?

Usual campaigning behaviour tbh, McDowell and Creighton a great example in 07.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

It's nothing new. One of the big conservative parties are well know for this carry on at election times although if it was a micra maybe it wasn't one of their members. :pac:

I agree this should be reported to verify what happened.

However, it's not beyond the bounds of possibility that they were Joe Higgins supporters who for whatever reason needed to move the posters elsewhere?

Maybe I'm not cynical enough, but honestly, do people really tear down each others posters?

    Ix.

Very much so. And it's not just candidates from different parties having a go at each other. It's not unknown for candidates in the same party scrapping for a single seat to try and sabotage each others.

The blueshirt youth have been mobilized.

Since the FG campaign launch they have been actively "bigging up" the yes campaign on all social media sites facebook/twitter journal.ie here and p.ie
basically anywhere they can spin the conversation.

You have got to be kidding me. I've been on the Journal and there are about five people supporting the treaty and about 50 against, comments wise. The Journal is a bastion of extreme views and the hard left.

I've been told twice today alone I'm working for 'the government'. Let me spell this out for you I'm not for the government, but I'm most certainly against most No voters/anti-household charge/hard left.

May have been the SWP party themselves who took it down. They re-use a lot of their posters.
So the poster could have been Joe supporting some local campaign or other, the poster will be taken back to HQ and printed over with details of a new campaign, march or views on the forthcoming referendum. Then stuck up again tomorrow. Its actually a decent bit of money saving by them, apparently those posters are near €10 a unit.

All the original "Anti household charge" SF and WP posters around my area are now gone - there was a guy in a van last week taking them down. They do repaste them with new posters and stick them back up - there was a few which had peeled showing the posters from previous election...

I expect a blizzard of them any day now...
    a young female got out

Political parties have been know to move posters around to save on money.

If you see if happen, contact the Party itself. they will check with their local orginisation i would imagine.

Maybe the SP took them down for fear of being injuncted under Sherlock's Folly due to their use of Saatchi & Saatchi's "Labour isn't working" image?

She sounds like a hero. I wish someone would take all the posters down. None of them are doing anything to actually inform people of what the treaty is about, they just sum it up vaguely and entirely uninformatively (like "yes for stability") or tell outright lies ("no to household and water charges").
