I thought it was back open on May 1st no? I have so much stuff to change!

The CAO book said the 5th so I was going with that. You would think it'd be the 1st though!

If you think you'll be in any way borderline, don't take medicine off. There's plenty of spaces on your form for other choices, you can still leave some medicine courses at the top (if its the one you want the most) and fill the rest with your backups.

Im in the same boat..well used to be:P I wanted to do pyhsio and i had sports science in lim down second but im going to put that first now because im not 100% sure if I want to be a physio but the course in lim sounds really good and it keep a lot of options open:) If I was you id probably put sports science down next..

Just wondering, why aren;t you gonna put down any more psych courses? I really wanna do psych and my CAO is loaded with them. :L
There are ones with much lower points than TCD and NUIG too.

Well I doubt highly that I'll get psych points, so I am realistically aiming for arts in Galway and hoping to work my ass off and get into denom in my second year.

Also my choices are based on finances. I live in Dublin so Trinity is easy and cheap to get too. UCD takes approx 2 and a half hours each way. DCU is also easy enough to get to but I'm just not really a fan of the college (I know you should pick the course not the college, but I have a few other choices so why not leave it out yano?)

Galway is my favourite college so far and grants cover the majority of my stay there so that's why I chose that one. :)

Can I just say biomed is absolutely brilliant. I'm not doing the course or anything, but got some work experience up in the labs of st.james' hospital, the majority of them there are biomed graduates and they have such great craic. The jobs (of the microbiologists and molecular chems anyway) are lovely. Bit repetitive but the hours are decent and so is the pay. If I could get the points I'd definitely do biomed, so I wish you luck!

Cool! That sounds great :D Ideally I'd graduate with a degree in Pharmacology or the likes (I want to get into researching hard drugs/neuropharmacology), but even so, I could end up doing microbiology! At least I know now that I'm set for a job! :P And thanks man, I hope you get the course you want too :)

    Hi All,

I need some help. My top choice is Arts at UCD. Doing English and Geog hopefully.

But other than that, I have no other code on my CAO Level 8 or Level 6/7

I know that if I got accepted in Maynooth, Cork or Galway, I wouldn't be willing to study at them Uni's.

I'm unsure what else to put down on my form, can anybody please help !!! ?

    Thanks

Just taking a slash in the dark here but presuming you want to be a teacher why not have a look into a few courses in Pats? :)

Hey...Yes you are right, teacher yes...Or journalism, but I want to keep my options open so if I do English in Arts, I leave teaching/journalism open for me..

    Any advice?

    SUCCESS! ;)

Have a look at the media and Journalism courses in DCU, they look quite interesting . Also science in Trinity is also quite a broad course with lots of subject options including Geography and Geology :)

Just a few other options for you :p

On my change of mind form it was recommended that I don't apply anywhere because I'll be bored.
