    Should be good.

Sligo vs St Pats on RTE 2 beforehand as well. Should be a great game if anyone's interested.

Was listening to online radio last night and there was talk of Sigurdsson having a 10 million price tag put on him for this summer and that Hoffenheim will not sell for less.

10m pound or euro would be a very good price to get him at imho.

Do you think he would be as effective in a two man midfield as he is a 3?

Am just not sure he is the type of midfield player we need he plays a similure role to what would be henderson, gerrard, shelvey and adam most natural position.

I would be hoping for someone that can partner lucas and dictate the game but when lucas doesnt play is more than capable of holding their own in a 2 man midfield without lucas.

Any news on the new jersey for next season or do we have to wait for adidas to run their course before any pictures go out? I know some of the players did a photoshoot for it a couple of months ago but nothing leaked :(

£20M would be a snip for him.

There's been a few pics of supposed new jerseys doing the rounds but nothing definite

One of them has the third strip being purple

Said it before but the problem I have with Sigurdsson is that unless we have a huge amount of money to spend in the summer I would like the focus elsewhere. I would be buying a central midfielder, striker and winger before I even looked at the another player for the CAM type role.

After watching Bayern vs Real last night, I was impressed with a few players for Bayern most notably David Alaba. I don't watch much Euro football but maybe Kess might suggest some players of the same ilk as Alaba that we could look towards getting in the summer window. :)

Ya he was brilliant. Cool as you like for the penalty as well. MotM for me.

He was on a yellow card from the 7th minute as well. Also knew he was gonna miss the final.

Abramovich will snap him up I'd say.

I think he needs a break if he is going to resign.

If he does go straight back(if he resigns) in to management I don't think it would be with Chelsea but who knows

You know what forget about all these marquee signings, big names, big fees .

Just give me a couple of decent hard working players with the right attitude.

no potential purchases, PL proven, Johnny English crap ! ...just a decent player please.

    rant over .

That would be odd. They still have the Copa del Rey to play for.

And as it is his contract runs out in the summer.

He'd still see out the season i'd say.

It's merely a rumour at the moment. :)

Not a chance we'll sign him, nor him leaving Bayern for the foreseeable future. Bayern aren't a selling club and they see him as the next (great) Lizarazu.

Why would a Champion's league finalist and potential winner come to play for us?

Jen Chang ‏ @JenChang88 Jackson Martinez told Radio Sante Fe he has no knowledge of any deal with LFC and denied Mexico media reports: http://bit.ly/IptlLT

Martinez said he also spoke with Jaguares president Guillermo Cantu on the phone about the reports and was told there was "nothing"

Totally agree. Bayern are in the business of getting top young talent or players that look like they will be top talent and then hanging onto them.

Their purchase of Shaqiri is an example of how they buy good quality outside talent on the cheap.

There is a lot in how Bayern is run that Liverpool could do worse than to copy.

We need to be going after the likes of Shaqiri, Turan, Sow, Cabaye, M'Vila, Sissoko etc etc before the big clubs go after them. Plenty of good to high quality young players around Europe whose abilities and price tags would have us hanging our heads in shame for the Hendersons and Carrolls on our books. Lots of similar aged players who would cost far less yet already be far more developed.

While we're at it we may as well get in Schweinsteiger, Kroos and Gomez too. Maybe they'll give us a discount for taking all four :)

Would see him as working best in a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3. But if he was available for a decent price, and interested in coming to Liverpool, then we would be stupid not to go for him. He is only 22 at present I would say that he is already a far more round and talented player than Henderson or Spearing and that he has far more untapped potential than either as well. CAM would be his best role imho, but he has put in shifts at CM (in the EPL and the Bundesliga) and he has taken to the role quite well. Then again he is a six footer who is able to get stuck in as well as play the nice stuff. I would have more confidence in him playing alongside Lucas in a two man midfield than any of our current options.

In an ideal world we would bring in a quality CM to play alongside Lucas (and who is able to do what Lucas does should he be injured again) and get Sigurdsson in as well.

People might come on and say that Henderson is only 21, and that he will become a cracking player and that he has loads of potential. Well Sigurdsson is only 22. Has loads of potential but has already shown that he can perform in the Championship, the EPL, and the Bundesliga without needing to wait years to settle/bloom.

Sigurdsson is already the better player and would cost close to half the price. If someone had watched both this season and did not know anything else about them, I know which one looks like a £16m player and which one looks like a low value player.

They could throw in Robben as a sweetener :D

I didn't say we should sign Alaba. I said someone like him
