Hi everyone just one quick question I'll be out of the country the day of the vote for the upcoming fiscal treaty, is there anyway I can still get to vote?

If it's for work reasons you might still be able to vote:

Best bet would bet would be ring your local council, there's a link on the site.

As a general rule, the answer to that is going to be no, assuming you're private sector:

You will normally be required to vote in person at an official voting centre but you may be eligible for a postal vote if you are:

An Irish diplomat or his/her spouse posted abroad
A member of the Garda Síochána
A whole-time member of the Defence Forces.

You may also be eligible for a postal vote if you cannot go to a polling station because:
Of a physical illness or disability

You are studying full time at an educational institution in Ireland, which is away from your home address where you are registered

You are unable to vote at your polling station because of your occupation

You are unable to vote at your polling station because you are in prison as a result of an order of a court.

Applications for inclusion on the Postal Voters List must be received by 25 November at the latest.

If you are registered as a postal voter, you may vote by post only. You may not vote at a polling station.

The "unable to vote at your polling station because of your occupation" doesn't actually cover people who are simply away on the day.

Mods please move if this is in the wrong area.......

I won't get home to vote in the referendum so would like to vote where I'm based during the week - can I register for a one-off postal vote? if so, how do I do so??

Take a look at the posts above, as Scofflaw pointed out, just being away isn't sufficient reason for a postal vote, it would need to be work related or the reasons outlined. Your local Council manages the list so it might be worth a call to them to clarify.
