Hey I was in the garden just now and a flock of about 10 to 12 birds just landed. They didn't care that I was there and they quickly scavenged around for food in a very organised fashion. They did this for about a minute and then hopped on the fence and into the neighbors garden to do the same. I don't know what these birds are called but I've seen them often enough. They have the coloring of maybe a sparrow but bigger with a bright orange beak. Anyway the brazenness and the organization of them fascinated me is this usual?

the only bird that I can think of that behaves like that is the starling but it has a bight yellow beak and black iridescent feathers
