I really have to evaluate the direction my life is heading in when i find the lack of coverage for the U-18's away game at Newcastle frustrating and would actually go as far to say that it has ruined my morning.

The thought of losing tomorrow is horrific to me. I know we don't have a lot to play for in the league but jesus losing to Hodgson just can't happen, for the sake of the match thread alone.

Won't be able for all the "Kenny's done...Never gave Hodgson a chance..blah blah" shítfúck that would ensue :(

watching the clasico and there was a long shot of xabi alonso standing looking confused before it kicked off.

    god i miss him.

The thought of losing for the 3rd game in a row that I've been at is too much, never mind against the face rubber and his gang. I'm worried about a lack lustre performance though.

I see christian tello started el classico tonight, I know we have been linked with a move for him in the summer but surely Barca are not going to let him leave if they think highly enough of him to be starting tonight.

Unless it's only for money, no way he leaves imo. He's becoming more and more a part of their setup recently.

He's not great though, is he?

Very quick but poor end product. He'll get better though.

Sounds like our kind of guy, we'll take him.

Yup, beat us 2-1 at the Hawthorns. Was at the game :( Brunt scored a couple of penos and Skrtel grabbed a goal for us.

Meant to post these a few weeks back when I watched them but only remembered when I went looking for the Jose one tonight. Someone uploaded the football greatest series that Sky did a while back. Loads of them are worth watching but two Liverpool related ones.

Is the game on tv today?

I reckon he will get, for the most part, the exact same reception that the travelling support gave him when we played WBA at their place, and that was to pretty much ignore the man and concentrate on shouting on Liverpool instead.

Will be back over for the match on Sunday and I have no intention of paying any heed to him. I will not be booing at him but I sure as hell won't be clapping for a man who as manager of Liverpool came out and tried to say that the Merseyside Derby was no different to any other game and that the supporters should see it that way as well. Not to mention the fact that he tried to claim that a 2-0 loss to Everton was a good result.

Hope we stuff West Brom, roar on our own, and then look towards the next game.

    This!!!

I don't think he'll get booed, but i don't think he'll particularly get a better reception than most away managers!!

The fans will want the team to stuff his lot and that's about it!

Sounds to me like Kenny might already know his fate.
Dalglish said: “I was asked to come back here and it was an honour and a privilege to do so. There was no hesitation in my decision, and if I was asked again tomorrow, I would do exactly the same thing.

“For me, the aim was to move the club forward and that is what we’re all trying to do to the best of our ability.

“But if the progress stops, then something else needs to be looked at.

“Where the line is going to be drawn, I don’t know. I am sure that everyone will have set different targets that they would see as being progress.

“But the most important people here are the people who own the football club, and the people who support the football club.

“I think they will be better judges than anyone else.”

Dalglish added: “I don’t know whether winning the Carling Cup and reaching the FA Cup Final means we have been successful.

“People have to judge for themselves and if they still want to batter me that’s also up to them.

“It doesn’t matter what happens to Kenny Dalglish. All that matters is Liverpool Football Club. As long as this club doesn’t suffer, then that’s OK with me. I’ll just come into work every day, work as hard as I can and live up to my responsibilities – and we will see what happens from there.”

Dalglish said: “The beliefs and philosophy that Bill Shankly put in place will never change at this football club.

“If that’s what Shanks believed then maybe a few people should listen to him.

“The problem is the goalposts keep moving. Some people say that winning trophies is more important, other say it’s all about finishing in the top four.”

He added: “The overall view this season was to improve, give the supporters a bit of pride back and put a smile on their faces.”

    Fair play to him.

He spoke in the 3rd person but which tells he is moving in the summer .
    Don't ask me why .

It does sound very reflective, like he knows his fate.

To be honest, I think the timing of Comolli's sacking was to get a director of football in before the summer to help choose the next manager.

The cup runs have been great this season, and have put a smile on all our faces, but as Kenny said - the goalposts have moved. League performance and champions league qualification is where it's at. The FA Cup is not what it once was, that's just a fact.

    Kenny as DOF?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,404 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

The Kenny Dalglish does sound pretty resigned to the Kenny Dalglish's fate in that interview but I would hope that the Kenny Dalglish gets another season or at least goes out on a high with an F.A. Cup win.

Well if it is curtains I can only hope everyone puts a shift in, not only for him but as quite a few could be playing for their futures with Dalglish's protection.

No thanks. Look at the calibre of player he has signed for us. I dont think he should be deciding our transfer policy.

Hope thats true. Our 1st choice back five together. Henderson in the middle without the pressure of having gerrard there. Maxi and kuyt looking to claim a place in the cup final side and carroll hoping to continue his good run
