advice for new audio set up

hi there, i have a peugeot 308 with basic audio, and i would like to add a bit of volume and bass, im just looking for advice on what to get.
last time i did this to a car i just paid a car audio shop, who supplied a head unit, amplifier, bass box complete with neon lights and a couple of six by nines.
so what i need is the spec requirements like what type (power) of amp, speakers ect to make all this possible.
i want to do this as cheap as possible but with decent sound

I'd look at what setup the car has now, does it even have rear speakers now?

Thats very general.... What size speakers are in it at the moment? Head unit? do you want a sub or not? front and rear speakers? etc etc etc

Run the front components from the HU as Alpine have good built-in amps, you also get a USB and AUX input on that HU, great value really.... oh and a pre out for the sub.....

Also personally 50w is fine for speakers, unless you really want something to damage your ears?
