    hi all,

Problem with peugeot 1.9 diesel vehicle 2003, that started to lose power and engine started to rattle.
I cleaned the air flow meter/egr etc and connected all up again but still hard to start and when it eventually starts runs for short period then dies..
There is a hissing noise coming from underneath her now and when i look under it there is a pin hole in the exhaust near the cat that blowing out at force so i assume the cat is blocked now

Get the timing belt checked ASAP. Get the ecu read also, pay particuliar attention if there is an advance regulation fault.

Cleaning the air mass meter 99.9% of the time does Notting it's either working or not so don't listen to anybody telling u to clean it. Your problem could be anything but without seen or checking it out it's a shout in the dark but it sounds like it might be a fuel pump problem.in fairness if there's a hole in the exhaust of course there's gona be pressure coming out it. All joking aside have a mechanic look at it.coukd even be ur injectors.as I said my money is on a fuel problem
