I have a Parrot CK3100 LCD installed in car

The software on it is ver 4.23 but there is a version 5 on their website

Only install it via wires or bluetooth but not clear as to how? Dont want to remove it as have not got a scooby how to reconnect it?

Is there a way of downloading the software to a phone and then sending it via Bluetooth to the device. Don't want ot leave it in to get it updated as will be charged for that...

Any simple solutions for a noobie who knows nothing about car kits ?:o

    Thanks

You need a laptop with bluetooth, you download the parrot software from the site, pair the laptop up with the carkit, and just go in to advanced options on the kit and off you go. 10 mins or so.

    I've done it before.

Download the Parrot Software Update Tool, run the software and follow the instructions. I found it easier to pair the Laptop to the phone first before running the update.

Don't forget to allow updates in the Parrot (under the settings menu)

I have done it with the same model parrot kit.

Note, you must use the windows driver for bluetooth on the laptop. I used a dell laptop with built in bluetooth and it went all the way through the update and failed on the last check. When I changed the driver to windows bluetooth, it was much happier.

Managed to find a laptop with bluetooth and downloaded the software and then sent the file to the device via bluetooth

    Now updated:D
