tag heuer serial number verification

Hi all I am looking at buying a second hand tag. The watch comes with all boxes and paperwork. Is there any way I can check it's authenticity using the serial number? Is there anyway of doing this on line? Or can I just contact Tag and see what they say? Any advice welcome. Thanks in advance Kenno

You could email Tag Heuer with the serial number and they should be able to tell you if it's correct for that model. You could also try googling the serial number, as I believe most fakes have the same number.
