Which B6 VW Passat Diesel Engine?

Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a diesel engine B6 VW Passat in the next few weeks. I'm not sure whether to go for the 1.9 TDI (105BHP) or the 2.0 TDI (140BHP). My biggest concern is with engine reliabilty. I've heard good and bad about each engine. I'm willing to sacrifice a bit of poke for something that's not going to cost…

Hi guys,

I'd imagine a quick search of this forum and indeed the general internet will bring you up all you need to know about the two engines as they are spoken about regularly here.

I'd have the older 1.9 engine. Too many stories and scary bills from the 2.0TDI tomake the extra power worth it. Just remap a 1.9 and bobs your uncle..:)
