01 Nissan almera. The two front windows stopped working. I checked the fuses in the car and under the bonnet, all a ok. Anyone got ant suggestions as to what to try next. I think the summer is here so I was thinking about using a hammer!!!

Can you check the wires in the loom at the drivers door? Make sure they are not cut or anything. Did they fail together or over a period of time?

    Hey plug,
They both failed together, which led me to believe its not switch. I'll check the looms, I know the loom LOOKs ok on the drivers door, the plastic tube isn't damaged, but I'll check passengers side. If one is cut I assume they both stop working? Failing that I guess I'll have to "put it on the computer" I suppose

Did you check the passenger door switch isn't working either?

Computer might not show anything. This is more like a switch or a wire fault. Can the passenger window operate from the passenger side switch? I take it you tried that. Peel back that loom at the drivers side and see. I don't have a wiring diagram for this car so can't help. Maybe they are prone to switch failure, Im not 100% sure. but sure just peel back the looms and have a good look at the wires and make sure they are not loose connections or anything.

Both windows won't work off either switch. I'll pull back the looms and have a look thanks

Failing that remove the drivers side door panel and check in there. Maybe a plug fell out or corrosion. Better to do all the easy visible crap first. good luck.

Did you check the button that locks the windows from going up or down?
