taxing with out insurance cert

    Hey lads bought a new car recently have it insured and just had the log book fall in the door to me however theirs a hold up with the insurance cert itself due to i assume easter backlog im wondering if i can tax the car with out that cert if i have the policy number ? kinda need it done due to going on a small trip friday

    In my experience they want to know who your insurer is and when it expires nothing else

    they do look for a policy number but i dont think it is ever checked up on.. if you have the policy number you will be fine
