    Test drove a car today & it was absolutely grand. There was a noise when I locked hard reversing - drove up & down but reversed 3 times & noise was still there - naturally when yer man from the garage took the car out it & reversed it (about 10 times!) there was no noise! Anyway I want to get the car checked out properly. Rang the AA for a quote on getting the car checked top to bottom, EUR349 :mad: not including any background/finance checks. Just can't afford to pay that.

    I used this brilliant man in 2007 when I last bought a car - Brendan Kelly from Limerick (car check Ireland) & I was hoping to use him again! Have checked internet/forums etc. for number & website but any posts date back to 2007. Have 2 numbers for him both are disconnected. Does anyone know if this man is still in operation? :confused:

    Mate if it's making strange noises when reversing it probably isn't absolutely grand. Can't help with your query but I think I'd be either getting the garage to fix the problem or walking away
