Anyone know how the catalyst converter gets fault for the brand new ford focus?. What could be the reason?

Don't point the OP in the direction of the Motors forum as that can cause duplicate threads and resulting clean up

Instead please use the Report Post functionality to alert a mod so that they can move it to the right forum

Cat failures are a symptom of fuelling issues normally, on the focus, coilpack issues, incorrect timing, lambda sensor issues and water ingress into the spark plug recess would be the main causes.

They can also be effected by oil burning but this is much less likely on most's focus's.
