Can't read the link, is he a Utd fan or something?

    Yeah it's brilliant:pac:
A Manchester City player has apologised after he posted support for UNITED on Twitter. Youth teamer Sam Jones took to the social networking site to register his delight after the Reds' vital win at Blackburn on Monday night. He infuriated Blues fans with a series of gleeful tweets during and after the match which Sir Alex Ferguson's men won 2-0 to stretch their lead over Jones's employers to five points. The defender, from south Wales, kicked off with: "Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh united united united", before following that up with "yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a goal!!!!!" After the final whistle he finished: "Game over! Ashley Young you king!" A number of Blues fans who spotted the messages hit back. Sharp-eyed City officials were also unimpressed. They gave Jones a dressing down which presumably led to the apology. He later tweeted: "To all City fans I am really sorry for causing offence with my tweets" before adding: "I realise I shouldn't have said those things. The Club have reminded me about my responsibilities as a City player. " The Reds and Blues are currently locked into a battle for the Premier League title. United's win at Blackburn, achieved courtesy of late goals from Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young, means that a victory over strugglers QPR in Sunday's early kick off would stretch their lead to eight points. City are in action later that afternoon – taking on Arsenal at the Emirates stadium. The Blues are thought to have signed Jones, a Welsh schoolboy, from Cardiff City last month.

What is the obsessiion with Liverpool about? You team is on the verge of winning its 20th league title, your team has won every game bar 1 in the league since the Newcastle game the start of January, your team is doing fantastically well yet all you're worried about is Liverpool, focusing on them and their tale of woe when you should be chuffed to be a United supporter.

    Quite pathetic really.
Calm down will ya.far from an obsession. There is often **** about United in the Liverpool thread.

Only thing quite pathetic was Andy Carroll's dive.

Saw it on twitter, wasn't old to me and though it was funny, that's all, nothing more. I do recall seeing Fergie gifs in the Liverpool thread, but fair enough, probably wrong place for it, apologies if I caused offence, but rest assure I'm more than chuffed to be a Manchester Utd fan. Pathetic a bit much.

    Why are you apologising?

If some liverpool fan wants to have a piss and a moan over absolutely nothing, let them at - let them whinge infront of everyone and show how childish they are.

Your post was clearly a little piss take at Carrol, a Liverpool player. United and Liverpool have a long and storied rivalry and fans regularly have a pop at each others teams. To say it is 'pathetic' when we are on the verge of winning a title is almost missing the part of the fun of being a fan. They need to man the fcuk up. Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.

You will need thicker skin to survive around these parts.
Have you not realised yet?it all ends up United v Liverpool :)

It is still up in the air.

It did look like he was a goner.

Then he was included in squads again and played some games, Fergie said we were close to an agreement.

Now it looks like a move to Juve is more likely, again.

No real idea what is going to happen. I think the club are in the same situation and are getting fed up of it.

Yeah sorry man, pathetic is a bit much but I see a lot of it about at the moment from United fans engaging in schadenfreude over Liverpool's woe when they should be focusing on how well their own team is doing.

Apologies for going over the top.

You know full well the connotations of that phrase. Frankly, its an absolutley disgusting and abhorent thing to say.

On a par with 'our tragedy is worse than your tragedy.'

Your the one that should be ashamed by what you've said.

Are people saying the Juve deal is more likely because there is no word of a contract signed by Pogba?

Nothing new whatsoever on the Pogba situation, just papers recycling old info and putting their own angles on it is all I can see from my search for info on it :)

They were wrong when they said he was already gone, they were wrong when they said he had signed a new deal at United, they actually know **** all about whats happening and are just taking pot shots, they will get one right eventually, for both partys sake I hope its when they say he is staying again

Just thinking ahead for the QPR game on Sunday.

    de Gea
    Rafael
    Evans
    Smalling
    Evra
    Valencia----Carrick---Giggs/Cleverley-Young
    Rooney

    Welbeck

I think both Ferdinand and Scholes should definitely be rested for the Wigan game on the Wednesday. Smalling is the obvious choice to come in for Rio, probably Giggs for Scholes.

Giggs was very poor against Fulham but I though he did well when he came on against Blackburn on Monday night, so a good chance of him starting. Not sure what's happening with Cleverley, wasn't even on the bench against Blackburn yet Pogba was? Strange goings on unless he was injured.

Young in for Jones, Welbeck in for Hernandez and back to 4-4-2 are the other obvious changes. Nani is fit again so he should get game time, brilliant to have him back for the run in.

Being honest yeah. Its United's to lose. 3 home games before facing City. Villa, QPR and Wigan are poor sides, and United are fantastic at putting mediocre teams to the sword. Everton will provide some trouble but I still think United will win.

The City game will be a cracker. For interest sake I'd like to see City within 5 points and if they won to reduce the gap to 2 the last 2 games would create savage tension!

I think United will win the title in Eastlands though all things considered.

There is a myth propogated that this is a poor United team. Its not. Its actually exceptional at what it does. Its customised to win the English league plain and simple. This isn't begrudgery. This team specialises in beating the weaker teams, but would struggle, by struggle I mean finish top 3 or 5 in any other of the elite leagues in Europe.

The technical limitations were exposed in Europe this season, but for English football this team is a machine. Look at the results post Newcastle on the 4th of January. 1 draw and 10 wins. Crazy good.

That's why United will win the league, absolute high tempo intensity that saps teams of energy and drives them into the ground.

pANDs De Gea, since he came back from being dropped has been immense, absolutely immense.
