Being a complete plonker when it comes to cars I would like to know what to expect when it comes to getting my car serviced. A Place I called are looking for 140 euro to change the oil and filters on my Mondeo (2005).

Personally I think this is quite expensive for a simple enough job. However, I would like someone to give my car a good looking over to let me know exactly its condition and what else needs doing?

Thoughts? Or if anyone knows a good mechanic in Cork who does Ford that would also be appreciated...

    Cheers.

Assuming the car has been maintained properly until now, the service book will tell you what needs doing and when.

No, I dont have a service book for the car as I bought it without it...

I did get it serviced once already by a mechanic I didnt know. He told me a few things about brake pads, tyres etc but not a lot of info (and none I had to act on). That was about 8 months ago.
